Senior Legacy

Why I Give to Miami...
I gave because spending 4 years at Miami was the best years of my life so far. I would never change anything about my experience here and would give anything to be a freshman again.
~Lara Edwards '07

History of the Senior Legacy Campaign
The Senior Legacy Campaign began at Miami in 1979 when members of the senior class challenged their classmates to give back ot the university through gifts that supported student success. In recent years, this gift has been used to establish class scholarship funds. In support of this tradition, seniors this year will raise the funds necessary to create the Class of 2008 Scholarship Fund.

Why support the class scholarship fund?
The cost of a college education continually rises. Regrettably, public support for higher education, especially in Ohio, has been decreasing at an alarming rate. To make up for this deficit, the university increasingly relies on the support of alumni and friends. The class scholarship program enables Miami to continue to attract the best and brightest students, and allows those students to experience the same quality education we have received. To date, over 60 Miami graduating classes have established such funds that have generated more than $3 million in scholarships for Miami students.
