Western College Alumnae Association
The Western College Alumnae Association supports many projects, including international exchange scholarships, the Tappan Computing Center (used by students in interdisciplinary studies) and Peabody Scholarships.

I was a Western College graduate in 1970. Since I spent my whole life overseas before college, I chose Western College because of its emphasis on international students and studies. The International Scholarship Fund is near and dear to my heart since it enabled so many women from other countries to have a college education in the U.S. in a safe and culturally rich environment.

The mission of the Association is two-fold:
To preserve communication within the Western family
To support education and human values.
Communication is preserved through the publication of a semi-annual alumnae magazine, The Bulletin, periodic e-mail newsletter, annual club meetings across the U.S. and an all-class Reunion on the Western Campus each June.
Education and human values are supported in many ways. Since its inception, the Association has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships, endowed a Faculty Lecture Series, a Young Artist Concert Series, a teaching award and three learning centers in the School for Interdisciplinary Studies at Miami University (the Western College Program).
In 1999, the Association successfully completed a Campaign for Endowment, raising over $4,000,000 to enable the spirit of Western to live and serve higher education in perpetuity.
