College of Arts and Science

Miami is in our hearts. It is the place where we met, where we found our life's friends and where we became adults. We are the professionals we are today because of Miami's experience and education.

The College of Arts and Science is the largest academic division on campus, and is the only division in which all Miami undergraduates are required to take courses. Because the liberal arts form the foundation upon which a Miami education is built, the College requires an unprecedented investment in its people and programs. Investments in the liberal arts will impact the entire University.
Scholarships, Fellowships and Student Enrichment
$15 million
Scholarships and Fellowships
The College seeks to increase the diversity of its student body, matriculate the best students, and provide financial assistance through merit- and need-based awards.
Student Enrichment Opportunities
A Miami liberal arts education prepares graduates for a complex and diverse world through global and cultural education.
  |
Miamis extensive study abroad programs enable students to immerse themselves in other cultures. |
 |
The Bridge Program brings talented high school students of diverse backgrounds to campus each summer for pre-college coursework. The program prepares students for college while creating ties to Miami University. |
 |
The Mosaic Program invites first-year students to live in a specialized residence hall to participate in weekly faculty-led seminars on diversity and cultural differences. |

Dean's Scholars
The Deans Scholars Program permits outstanding undergraduate students to team with faculty mentors who sponsor a year-long project of original research or scholarship.
Faculty Support

 |
Conference stipends will enable faculty to present the results of research and scholarship at national conferences. |
 |
A visiting lecturer fund will bring outstanding scholars to campus to work with Miami students and faculty. |
