Spring-Summer 2006

Regional events planned for this fall in four locations

Beginning this fall, the regional campaign effort will become more visible to alumni living in Central Ohio, Greater Cincinnati, Chicago and New York City with events planned in each location.

Central Ohio will host the first regional campaign celebration with a major event tentatively planned for September 20 in Columbus. Regional Committee Chair Jim DeRoberts `78 will welcome alumni and friends to celebrate The Miami University Campaign For Love and Honor.

Friday, September 29, Greater Cincinnati will join in the celebration with an event for hundreds hosted at Duke Energy Center by Greater Cincinnati Committee Chair John W. Peck `66. Committee Chairs Beth Herrmann Mynhier `82 and Jim Mynhier `82 will host the Chicago event, tentatively planned for November 5 at the Field Museum.

The final event of the fall will occur in New York City at Gotham Hall on November 16.

Miami’s 21st president, David Hodge, will be in attendance at each event to meet Miami alumni and share his vision for the future of the university. All alumni, donors, and friends living in these regions will be invited to participate in regional festivities.
