Greater Cincinnati Regional Campaign
How exciting it was for me to spend an incredible evening on Sept. 29, 2006, with 600 Miami alumni and friends in Cincinnati. Our celebration at the Duke Energy Center was one of the largest ever local gatherings of our Miami family. The Miami University Campaign For Love and Honor is worth such a turnout. We have so much to celebrate.
Miami's commitment to undergraduate education has not changed since you and I, as students, avoided stepping on the seal as we walked across campus. And what also hasn't changed is the need for alumni, parents and friends to reach out to those who come after us and create the legacy that ensures that Miami will remain a welcoming community of learners and a top-flight institution of scholarship.
To do that, we need to show our support for Miami's students of today and tomorrow, by strengthening scholarships and academic programs. We must also support Miami faculty by providing endowed professorships and additional opportunities for research.
There are many ways we can show our commitment to Miami, and I encourage you to join me in supporting the Miami University Campaign For Love and Honor.
