Student Enthusiasm Driving ASC Effort
Miami University’s students have been calling for a new student center for the past 14 years, and with that dream nearing reality, they are getting behind the Armstrong Student Center in a big way.
In January 2010, Miami’s Student Senate voted overwhelmingly to join Miami’s alumni and friends in helping build the future of the Miami Experience. Through approving the use of student fees to be applied toward the cost of the ASC, Miami’s student leaders have made a strong statement of their support and enthusiasm for the ASC.
Miami’s student-led groups, many of which will benefit from office and meeting space within the ASC’s Center for Student Engagement and Leadership, are also supporting the effort through fund-raising. Pi Sigma Epsilon, pictured on the left with President Hodge, recently made a $1,000 contribution to the ASC. |
