MUDEC Scholarship Gains Momentum

A scholarship honoring the long-time service of Dr. Emile Haag to the Miami University Dolibois European Campus (MUDEC) continues to grow, thanks to support from loyal Miamians.

The Dr. Emile Haag Alumni Scholarship was created recently by three Miami alumni and extended to all MUDEC alumni, recognizing Dr. Haag’s continuing service to Miami.  In October, at the 40th anniversary celebration in Luxembourg, it was announced that the scholarship’s endowment had grown to nearly $70,000.

At the ceremony, during which Dean Ekkehard Stiller was awarded the Presidential Medal and the Honorable John E. Dolibois entertained the crowd with remarks via video, MUDEC alumni paid tribute to Dr. Haag with a formal presentation of the scholarship.

The alumni who established the initiative – Doug Feick `87, Bill Hemmer `87 and Tom Orlando `88 – are pleased that the scholarship is off to a strong start but are asking all MUDEC alumni to make a gift to increase the scholarship’s endowment and make MUDEC accessible to more Miami students.
