Step up to the plate...
Display your Miami pride with a RedHawks license plate!
Purchasing these plates shows your pride in alma mater and provides Miami with additional funds to help support students. $25 of the $35 annual plate fee directly supports academic scholarship for Miami students in the name of Ohio alumni. Note: Due to a change in privacy policies at the Ohio BMV, Miami will no longer receive information regarding the purchase of Miami plates, and therefore is unable to issue tax receipts. Please keep a copy of your BMV receipt for your tax records.
IT's EASY! Select the method that's most convenient for you:
- Go to your local Ohio BMV branch and ask for the MIAMI UNIVERSITY collegiate license plate.
- Go online: www.OPlates.com
- Call 1-888-PLATES-3
- Print out and complete this application and mail to the BMV (information on form).
You may exchange your current plates for collegiate plates any time between registration periods. Credit will be given for registration and permissive taxes already paid.
Maryland residents: to get a Miami license plate...
For details, send an email to mualum2001@hotmail.com, with “MU plates” in the subject line. Include your name, mailing address and phone number, and a local Miami alum will send you the necessary forms to receive your plate.
